Description:

Location: Tooke Lake, Muskoka, Ontario

F604 Skipping Stones, the perfect Muskoka feeling. Children and adults alike love the 180 feet of waterfront offering a sandy beach and gradual entry. Fantastic sunsets have been photographed because of the western exposure.  The cottage can be enjoyed in all seasons and is winterized. This piece of paradise has lots to offer the whole family.

At the entrance to the cottage, a deck creates a peaceful area for enjoying the outdoors with views of the trees and listening to the songbirds. Lake views can be enjoyed from the front deck that offer space for having morning coffee and meals throughout the day. With the lake being close, it is easy to be able to watch the swimming and other water fun!

The living area offers a relaxing gathering space that includes a three-seater sofa and chair along with a 55-inch Smart TV.  There is a door leading to the front deck. The cooling effect of the ceiling fan provides comfort on a warm summer day or evening. From the living area and up two steps is the dining room that seats at least eight people. The large windows bring the outside in with the brightness and offer a great view of the lake.  Other features of the dining room include a pretty, antique cabinet, a bar fridge for extra beverages, and a large built-in unit that has a plethora of games and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The lake can also be viewed from the well-equipped kitchen that provides guests with everything needed to prepare a meal. A drip coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, cutlery and dishes, and stove/oven are available. The refrigerator is off the kitchen which has a door that leads to the deck where the BBQ is located.

This bungalow cottage has three bedrooms. The first bedroom is located off the entrance hallway on the right. This private bedroom offers one double and one queen size bed.  This bright, cheery room has side and back views of the area surrounding the cottage. As well, a closet and storage can be found. A portable fan is available when needed. From the dining room and to the back of the cottage you will find the second bedroom with navy blue accents.  The comfort of a king size bed awaits. A ceiling fan provides coolness on warm summer nights. A closet offers space for storage.  A full bath with tub and shower is just outside of the bedroom in the hallway. Follow the short hallway past the full bath to the second king size bedroom.  The light aqua green room also has a ceiling fan for comfort. A closet for storage can be found in this room.  The view from this room offers peaceful views of the trees that surround the back of the property.  There is access to a small powder room too.  Access to the kitchen can be gained via the two-doored powder room.

To optimize time on the water, a kayak, canoe, and paddleboat are available for guests use.  A fishing boat can be launched from the side of the cottage. F604 Skipping Stones is an ideal location for those looking for the relaxation of the cottage lake life.

This cozy, cheery touch of Muskoka awaits. This cottage allows for adventure in any of the four seasons.  Hiking through the fall colours, snowmobiling, downhill or cross-country skiing or relaxing down at the waterfront watching and participating in all the water fun.

Baysville is very close to the cottage. There are many great attractions from Yummies in a Jar, Rafter’s of Muskoka a one-stop-shop for house and seasonal décor and fine furniture, Humble Pie Butter Tart Factory and Pizzeria, Lake of Bays Brewery, garden shops, and markets.

Huntsville is a short 20-minute drive from the property where there are many restaurants and pubs to enjoy.  The main street offers great shopping too!

Algonquin Park is a 45–50-minute drive from the cottage, a fascinating place to visit both in summer and the winter. For many visitors the deep snow, ease of viewing wildlife, and the vast solitude of Algonquin Park’s ski trail network and backcountry are appealing. Join the many visitors who make July and August the most popular months in Algonquin for exploring and learning. Visit museums, enjoy a picnic, venture out by canoe or on foot!

For downhill skiers Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area is located just east of Huntsville (about 30 minutes from Dorset). Hidden Valley offers 3 quad chair lifts and 1 tow lift.

Arrowhead Provincial Park just north of Huntsville is well known for both summer and winter activities.  It has approximately 33 kms of groomed cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails for all levels. Ice skating is also available. Skis, sit-skis, snowshoes, sledge, and ice skate rentals are available during the winter. There are three sand beaches and 15 kms of hiking trails including a trail leading to a waterfall, Stubb’s Falls.  Rental canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and mountain bikes are available during the summer.

There are maintained snowmobile trails too!
