Welcome to the gorgeous Scandinavian Retreat nestled on the shores of secluded Lynx Lake in the town of Kearney. Offering high-speed WiFi, sauna, and ample room to accommodate the whole family! This expansive, level lot offers ample privacy with extensive outdoor space. This property sports a gorgeous sandy beach along 300 feet of waterfront, with gradual entry, a floating dock and the lakeside trail leads guests to the 20 X 8 foot dock.

One acre of wooded property is available for guests to explore. A sprawling front lawn presents the perfect space for family games. Next to the cottage is a large pond, ideal for exploration, catching frogs, bugs, or learning about a pond ecosystem. Guests are provided with two canoes, two kayaks, and a stand-up paddleboard to optimize time on the water.

This cottage combines functionality with the traditional luxury of a Scandinavian designed home. Upon entering guests are presented with a large, open concept living space. With plenty of windows, and direct access to the front deck, the natural exterior sunlight is brought indoors. A large open concept kitchen comes fully equipped with a stainless-steel fridge, stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, a panini press, and plenty of cooking and baking utensils. Spacious countertops ensure meal prep is seamless. A large kitchen island features a bar counter, overlooking the dining room.

With seating for ten the large dining table presents ample seating accommodation. With an additional highchair provided, consideration for all family types has been accounted for. The dining table also features an additional fridge for wine and drink storage, optimal for entertainment. Additionally, in the main living space guests will find a large couch situated around a 60” Smart TV. With plenty of seating, this space offers cozy elements that encapsulate the essence of classic Scandinavian design.

A bright mud room off the main living room offers storage space for shoes or additional clothing brought to the cottage. Off the mud room, find a powder room, also containing a washer and dryer available for guests’ convenience.

Upstairs there is a large, open concept loft with a single, and double bed. The space, bright and airy, offers a large window with views of the waterfront. Three additional bedrooms can be found on the upper level. In the master suite, guests will find a king bed. Additionally, the master suite has a small reading nook, a 32” Smart TV and a private balcony with a small bistro set, ideal for morning coffee. Off the master suite find a spacious, four-piece ensuite, serving as a bathroom for all upper bedrooms with additional access to the main loft. This level offers two additional bedrooms both with queen beds, a dresser, and one bedroom containing a crib.

The lowest level of the cottage offers sleeping accommodation for three guests. A bedroom offers a King size bed, with an additional crib. In the main living space, find a sheltered single bed with pullback curtains situated beneath the stairs. Two couches, and an armchair are situated around a 42” TV, with a DVD player and DVDs available. This space is optimal for teens and children to unwind, while parents and adults relax upstairs.

A spacious 25 X 15 foot deck is accessible to the main living area. Outdoors, find plenty of seating arrangements. A five-piece conversation set offers seating for four guests, coupled with a large outdoor dining table with seating for six. Additionally, four anti-gravity chairs are available for guests’ convenience and an outdoor sectional with seating for four.

The walk-out basement offers a cool shady sitting area. With four Muskoka chairs, this space is level with the properties waterfront making water access easy. In addition, an outdoor sauna provides guests with added luxury. Situated next to the main cottage, the walk-out basement makes sauna access easy during those cool summer nights.

An exterior garage offers a loft-style living space. This space offers additional sleeping for nine guests and comes equipped with a washroom, kitchen, living area, and two bedrooms. The main living space offers a spacious interior with a large sectional and 42” Smart TV for guests. The kitchen offers a fridge, toaster, and dishes available for guest convenience. Bedroom one includes a queen bed, a single over single bunk, and a crib. Bedroom two offers a double over king bunk, with an additional queen bed in the main living space and a pull out couch when needed. The three-piece washroom has a stand-up shower.

There is no shortage of outdoor space. With northeast views, enjoy morning coffee while watching the sunrise over the water. While lakeside, guests will find a large sandy beach, with a shallow water entry. Just up from the lake find a spacious seating area surrounding a large outdoor firepit. Six Muskoka chairs are available for guests to gather. A trail leads guests along the waterfront to the dock. A ladder also makes this dock a great location for swimming. Off the shore, guests will find a floating platform for their enjoyment.

The nearby town of Kearney offers a quaint atmosphere with several shops and food options to explore. Explore world famous Algonquin Park through the Rain Lake access point. Only 25 minutes south, discover the town of Huntsville. Enjoy a day of shopping in the downtown core, enjoy lunch on the dock, or take a train ride on the historic Portage Flyer. With Scandinavian Retreat’s central location, there is no shortage of things to explore.

**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.

**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children’s life jackets due to safety and liability concerns
