Description:

Location: Magnetewan River, near Burks Falls, Ontario

This riverfront cottage is located on the Magnetawan River just outside of Burks Falls, Ontario. This newly renovated four-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage offers accommodation for families of up to 10 people. The cottage is south facing, boasting sunny views of the lazy Magnetawan River, facing crown land with no rear neighbours, providing the just right amount of privacy.

With two single kayaks, a rowboat, peddle boat, and canoe, guests can follow the river for long distances with direct access to Lake Cecebe. The large 20 x 10-foot dock, with southern exposure, offers two Muskoka chairs and footrests and a ladder for easy water entry. A gazebo covering will provide shade on the dock (no screening). The large, gently sloping lawn allows leisurely access to the waterfront for all ages, perfect for lawn games -cornhole is included. As the summer day comes to an end, guests can gather around the firepit to exchange stories.

The cottage has four bedrooms. The main floor features two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a single over double bunk bed with a dresser and closet. The second bedroom (master) has a queen bed, and a large, mirrored closet, dresser, and walkout deck with a view of the riverfront. The remaining two bedrooms are located downstairs. The third bedroom is equipped with a single over double bunk bed, dresser and closet. Finally, the fourth bedroom with a riverfront view has a queen bed, dresser, closet and small seating area, an ideal place to take 5, relax and read a book.

The main floor is an open concept living space, with tall 14-foot vaulted ceilings and expansive bay windows allowing in generous amounts of natural sunlight with a sectional sofa, coffee table an armchair for lounging and a 65” Smart TV. The main bathroom features a shower/tub combination. Laundry machines are available for guest use, located in the main floor closet.

The dining room has a beautiful wooden table with seating for 6-8. The dining room gives access to the 10 x 10 deck through sliding glass doors that overlook the riverfront and the deck is equipped with patio furniture and a barbeque. Across from the dining room is the well-equipped kitchen with new stainless-steel appliances an island with four stools and a large pantry.

The spacious family room downstairs offers a sectional couch, 55” Smart TV, Blue Ray DVD player, Nintendo Wii console and a traditional collection of boardgames, DVDs and puzzles for those rainy days or late night fun. This lower, walkout level is completed with a three-piece bathroom, desk and mini fridge so guests do not have to go upstairs for refills.

On long summer nights or rainy days, the garage has a games room, including a basketball arcade, foosball, air hockey, ping pong, darts, a table and chairs with seating for seven, providing the perfect spot to gather for boardgames or cards.

The village of Burks Falls is just a short 10-minute drive away where there are grocery stores, restaurants, LCBO, gas stations and the Riverbowl bowling alley. Take a refreshing walk on the ‘Riverwalk’ over the falls and gorge, in the downtown area. A 10-minute drive in the opposite direction takes you to the village of Magnetawan. Local attractions include Arrowhead Provincial Park (30 minutes), Screaming Heads Sculptures and many other natural hiking trails, waterfalls, etc.

High Speed WiFi is included. It is limited to 50 Gigabytes per week, enough for guests to use moderately and casual streaming.

**Check-in: after 4:00pm and Check-out: before 10:00am

**Linen packages are available for this cottage, but vacationers are welcome to supply their own. A linen package includes sheets, pillowcases and towels for indoor use. The price for this will be shown as an option in the booking request form.

**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.

**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children’s life jackets due to safety and liability concerns.

**Firewood. Guests to bring their own. Absolutely NO fireworks at this location.
