Old Mans Lake, near Magnetawan

Cheerful and inviting, this recently renovated cottage offers a large living room with comfortable seating for up to nine people. Also on the main floor, is a well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a dining area with a large wooden table, great for working on a puzzle, with seating for up to eight people. There is a two-piece bathroom on this level of the cottage. Guests can experience the beauty and grandeur of the north with fabulous lakeside views.

The screened room located at the side of the cottage offers cool breezes and a quiet place to slip away, enjoy a cup of tea and a good book. The lakeside deck provides ample space to enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the surrounding scenery.

On the upper level, there are three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed, the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, the 3rd bedroom also has a queen bed and both the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have a set of bunkbeds with singles on top and bottom. The three-piece bathroom is accessed from the hallway and has a tub/shower combo.

The lower level of the cottage has a three-piece bathroom. There is also a family room where guests can watch a movie and cozy up by the electric fireplace, a den is also located off this room. This room also offers large windows with views of the lake. Access is provided to the stone patio for outdoor dining and relaxing in the shade provided by the upper deck. The hot tub is available to guests.

Steps from the cottage is a large, open firepit surrounded by sand with ample seating for everyone. A newly installed gazebo located at the side of the property offers an additional spot to gather in comfort any time of day or evening. Continuing toward the lake, descending the gradual slope of the property there are approximately 16 stone steps that lead to the shoreline and a 8x24ft dock. To the left, a covered, wooden swing is tucked into the trees and provides a quiet, contemplative place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere near the lake. To the right of the dock there’s a sandy beach area for young guests to play and romp. A children’s jungle gym and badminton court are provided for those who seek to burn off some more energy after their swim. A canoe, two kayaks, a pedal boat, lily pad and trampoline are all available for endless water adventures.

This lovely country-chic cottage has lots of terrific options for a relaxing, fun-filled, cottage vacation. The town of Magnetawan is a quick 15 minute drive away and a local general store, known for their home-baked goods and delicious take-out pizzas, is only a five minute drive from the cottage. Ahmic Lake, renowned for its large walleye is a 20 minute drive and it offers great fishing and boating.

**Check-in: after 4:00pm and Check-out: before 10:00am

**The hot tub is available to guests. Guests required to clean and take care of general maintenance.

**Pets considered. Guests required to remove all pet hair and doggy do and to abide by cottage pet rules.

**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children’s life jackets due to safety and liability concerns.

**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including septic-friendly toilet paper and paper towels.

**Linen packages are available for this cottage, but vacationers are welcome to supply their own. A linen package includes sheets, pillowcases and towels for indoor use. The price for this will be shown as an option in the booking request form.

**Vacationer to bring their own firewood.

**Wood burning indoor fireplaces not available for guest use.
