Description:

Location: Georgian Bay, near Parry Sound
A custom-built retreat on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay will pull your teens from their electronics as they explore Mother Nature’s wonders.  A two-hour drive from Toronto brings you to a quiet bay that opens up to the expansive waters of Georgian Bay, which is great for motorized boat activities. Kayak to the Shawanaga River with bountiful wildlife and miles of river to explore. The impressive deck that runs the length of the cottage faces the 400 feet of water frontage offering island views and magnificent sunsets.

This 4,500 square foot, three-bedroom plus loft sleeps twelve comfortably. This Mexican style cottage offers lake views from every room in the house. Spend quality time together in the great room with 30-foot cathedral ceilings and comfortable seating for eight. Curl-up and enjoy a crackling fire in the unique Georgian Bay stone fireplace or sneak away for some quiet time in the artist’s nook room.

Overlooking the living-room is the open-concept, sea-coloured kitchen and dining-room with a custom-built walnut table and seating for eight. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a fridge, stove, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, and all the tools for preparing a lovely meal for the family. There is a washer/dryer on the main level.

The wooden floors throughout the cottage are something special. These 120-year-old reclaimed American red pine boards have been selectively chosen, refinished and laid with care to give the cottage a warm and inviting feel. The geothermal, radiant heated floors will keep you warm even on those cool nights.

The master bedroom with a luxurious Californian king bed and spacious ensuite with jacuzzi tub, is located on the main level. There are two other bedrooms on the main level of the cottage. One has a queen and the other has a king bed. All bedrooms have 20 foot vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans for an open and airy feel.

The loft is perfect for the kids’ slumber parties, with two queen mattresses and one double mattress.  The loft is also equipped with two workout bikes and a step machine overlooking the great room.

The cottage has two and a half bathrooms on the main level. There is a three-piece washroom down one wing of the cottage and the half bath with a Mexican inspired sink in another wing of the cottage. The ensuite is located off the Master Bedroom. A special Muskoka-cottage touch is the outdoor shower tucked around the side of the cottage, shower under the stars while listening to the waves rolling in.

With 400 feet of waterfront, there will be no shortage of outdoor fun. The cottage has a western exposure with all-day sun. With ample room to dock your powerboat, enjoy the open waters of Georgian Bay, tubing and waterskiing doesn’t get better than this. The public boat launch is a five-minute drive from the cottage. Located 25 minutes from Round Lake Provincial Nature Reserve where you can hike, fish and canoe. For winter fun the cottage is a 40-minute drive to Killbear Provincial Park which has the Park to Park trail for Snowmobiling, Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing & Backcountry, Dog Sledding, ATVing, Winter (Fat) Biking and Mountain Biking. **Check-in: after 4:00pm and Check-out: before 10:00am **Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels. **Linen packages are available for this cottage, but vacationers are welcome to supply their own.
