Appliances and furnishings: All cottage interiors are finished in pine or cedar. They are clean, well-furnished and fully-equipped with modern ranges and refrigerators, cooking utensils, dishes, hot water and double kitchen sinks. All cottages have filtered U.V. purified drinking water and are electrically heated and have wood burning fireplaces or wood burning stoves. Cottages have queen, double and single bets, supplied with mattress covers and cozy blankets. Fresh sheets and pillow cases are provided.
All cottages have a deck which, with the south-western exposure on Lake Rosseau, provides many beautiful sunsets. Each cottage has it's own individual charm. barbeques and picnic tables are provided so that you can enjoy lunch among the trees. Laundry lines are provided for hanging your bathing suits and beach towels. In addition to the sand beach, a playground with sand box, swings and slide are also provided for the children to play.
Paquana is a family resort with twelve housekeeping cottages offering a wide variety of accommodations. Situated on a private bay on the shores of sparkling Lake Rosseau in beautiful Muskoka, there is over 900 feet of shoreline and 10 acres of Muskoka wilderness, a safe and sandy beach for the children and miles of open water for the skier.
Lake Rosseau offers good bass and lake trout for the sport fisherman and excellent pan fishing for the children. Joining Lake Joseph and Lake Muskoka with inter-connecting waterways, it becomes a paradise for the boating enthusiast. In addition, there are also two professional Plexipave tennis courts offered; the ultimate in playing surfaces. Waterslide, water trampoline, canoes and rowboat are provided at no extra charge.
Windermere Golf and Country Club, a well manicured and challenging 18 hole course is less than a kilometer away, offering preferred rates to guests of Paquana Cottage Resort. in addition, there are many other fine courses within a 20 minute drive. Steamship cruises of Lake Rosseau are available from the town of Windermere, a short walk from the resort. Many unique and interesting stores can be found in Bracebridge and Huntsville, a 30 minute drive away, with the beauty of Alonquin Park and it's many activities just outside of Huntsville.
