Relax on Lake Simcoe in this beautiful post-and-beam designed cottage. Enjoy the open-concept main room with its huge built-in fireplace featuring large stone facing from ceiling to floor. Large wide-beam, wood plank flooring and 200 year old beams right from Nova Scotia add to the charm. Ceiling-to-floor windows offer fabulous views of the lake and spectacular sunrises. Huge fans in the cathedral ceilings keep the air cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

A large open loft upstairs overlooks the lower grand room and the lake. The master bedroom has a spacious walk-in closet with built-in shelves and an ensuite bathroom with a designer shower. A built-in fireplace in the bedroom will provide a romantic ambiance. Take a walk from the master bedroom out to the large deck to gaze at the star-lit night.

Granite countertops are found throughout in the bathrooms and also in the kitchen. A beautiful custom, harvest dining table seats 8. The deck is accessed also from the kitchen. There is a separate laundry room and storage area.

The  Cottage is 45 minutes north of Toronto. Georgina Island is situated in Lake Simcoe. A car ferry will transport you from the mainland at the Virginia Beach Marina to Georgina Island. 

The mainland features five local golf courses, restaurants, Red Barn Theatre, "Canada's Oldest Summer Theatre", Georgina Pioneer Village, antique shops, regular and drive-in theatres, Sibbald Point Provincial Park. On the island you will find the Georgina Island Craft Store, Georgina Camp Grounds and Island Convenience Store.
 
Summer activities include hiking, trails, horseback riding, swimming boating. In the wintertime you can enjoy ice fishing, ski-dooing, cross-country skiing, and skating. Fish hut rentals and professional guides are available.
