Appliances and furnishings: Fully equipped kitchen includes dishes, glasses, pots and pans, cutlery, extra utensils, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, toaster oven, mixer, blender, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, under the cupboard radio and CD player; extra fridge and bar fridge in boathouses; water dispenser with hot and cold feature, (please bring your own water jug), vacuum, barbeque, satellite with extra movie and sport channels, 3 televisions, DVD player, VCR, phones (local calls only), wireless internet connection, six Muskoka chairs, several lounge chairs, picnic table, shed for extra storage, 8 x 8 deluxe swim raft with ladder, canoe, paddles, two kayaks, paddleboat, lifejackets, a tin boat with a 9.9 motor.
There is a water taxi available through Pride of Muskoka Marina as well as boat rentals available in the area if you do not have your own boat.
The cottage is on
Browning Island in Lake Muskoka, in the town of Bracebridge, which
is between Gravenhurst and Port Carling and only a two-hour drive
from Toronto. It is conveniently located almost across from Pride of
Muskoka Marina, less than a five-minute boat ride.
There are breathtaking views and it is an extremely private setting
with 305 feet of shoreline in a calm bay with rocks at the fringe
plus a sandy beach area along the shore. The property is just under
an acre with beautiful pine and birch trees plus lovely groomed
grounds that are ideal for outside recreation such as crochet,
badminton, volleyball, horseshoes, or for just having fun.
There are two
boathouses, one on each side of the property that provide total
privacy. The double-slip boathouse has new doors with automatic door
openers. It also has a bedroom with knotty pine walls and includes
two single beds. The other boathouse has two stories with two
bedrooms in the upper level with two single beds, a double bed and
two dressers. The main floor features the living room with a couch,
chairs, table, TV with DVD player and bar fridge. The patio doors
lead to a 20-foot dock for extra, outside sitting and a breathtaking
view of the lake. The 40-foot main dock gets sun all day and is
located in the middle of the shoreline complete with ladder and is a
short swim to the deluxe swimming raft and of course a gorgeous view
of the lake.
Enjoy watching the sun come up on the dock with your morning coffee
and the peacefulness with the sound of the loons in the evening.
This cottage is a piece of paradise with a million dollar view. All
this offers you and your guests the ultimate in tranquility and a
truly Muskoka experience.
The cottage has loads of charm and character. The main floor
features a kitchen with a cathedral ceiling, a large window with
view of the lake and knotty pine walls and pine cupboards. There is
a back breezeway off the kitchen that leads to the laundry room, a
bathroom and has two exits to the outside. The large dining room
with knotty pine walls has large windows with a great view of the
lake and includes a buffet, a built-in corner pine cabinet and table
that can seat eight. The living room has knotty pine walls with
large windows and again a view of the lake. It includes a wood
burning stone fireplace, two couches, a comfortable leather
recliner, and extra chairs, TV with satellite, DVD and VCR.
The double-French doors in the living room lead to the fabulous,
large, Muskoka, screened-in porch with a breathtaking view of the
lake. There is a glass-top table with four chairs, Muskoka couch and
two chairs. There are two modern four-piece baths with custom, pine
vanities and knotty-pine walls and doors.
The second level includes the master bedroom with a queen-sized bed,
dresser, a large closet, a TV with satellite and DVD. The second
bedroom has a double bed and a built-in dresser and closet. The
third bedroom has a double bed and dresser.
There are many attractions in the Muskoka area:
Fabulous golf only a 15-minute boat ride to Taboo Resort Golf and
Spa, Muskoka Highlands Golf Links
Santa’s Village great for the kids, very close, by boat or car.
Scenic Muskoka Cruises (Segwun which goes out of Gravenhurst and
passes by in the distance in front of the cottage.)
Professional instructors that work from Pride of Muskoka Marina
which you can hire to come to the cottage and give private lessons
in boarding and water skiing with their own Nautique boat.
Fabulous fishing right at the end of the dock: bass, pike and more.
Good shopping, and Cinema in Bracebridge only 20 minutes by car.
Great shopping and restaurants in Port Carling only about 50 minutes
by car or about 30 minutes by boat.
South Muskoka Sailing School only 5 minutes by boat. Watch them from
the dock.
Entertainment: Casino Rama, Muskoka Opera House and Arts
Centre,
Other Attractions: Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre, Muskoka
Wildlife Centre.
Hospital: South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge approximate
30 minutes.

Shallow, sandy entry on Lake Muskoka. Seven feet deep from the
end of the dock, great for swimming or docking a boat.
