Appliances and furnishings: fully-equipped kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, washer/dryer, jacuzzi, Weber barbeque, television, DVD/VCR player, satellite, radio, CD player, patio furniture on deck and dock. Please bring your own towels and bedding. Canoe, kayak, paddle boat also available for use. Bring bottled water (available at the fire station at the corner of Limberlost and Highway 60).
Terra Nova provides you with all the comforts and amenities for a peaceful and tranquil getaway. Located on Walker Lake near Huntsville, among hemlocks, maples and pines, it is a perfect location for all your summer and winter activities. This bright south-facing cottage has an open-concept floor plan allowing you to enjoy your stay both inside and outdoors. The living room has large windows overlooking the large deck and gorgeous view of the lake. The main bedroom has a stunning view of the lake. Wake up to the sunrise and go to sleep under the moonlight. It is a very romantic and comfortable room and has its own walkout and jacuzzi. The other two bedrooms are at the back of the cottage, one on the main floor and the other is a very large loft with an en-suite, sitting area and balcony. Both bedrooms are quite large and bright.
The lake front has a large dock with ample seating for your summer activities. In the winter the lake freezes over and can be used for cross country skiing. Walker Lake is very calm, clean and clear perfect for canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking and sail boarding.
The cottage is located 15 minutes from historic Huntsville, off Highway 60. We are close to some of the best golf courses in Ontario: Deerhurst Highlands, Marc O'Mera at the Grandview Resort, and the Bigwin Island Golf course.
In the winter, the cottage is just 15 minutes from Hidden Valley for downhill skiing and 25 minutes from Arrowhead provincial park which has fantastic cross country trails. As well there are a host of winter activities in Huntsville to enjoy.
There are a variety of restaurants in the area including The Norseman which is located right on Walker Lake. It has an excellent menu.
If you like hiking, cycling trails, canoeing, fishing and kayaking, the Provincial parks, Arrowhead and Algonquin are within a short drive from Terra Nova.
If you choose to boat on a large lake, Peninsula Lake leads into Fairy Lake, Mary Lake and Vernon Lake and the public access is five minutes away, at Tally Ho Resort (corner of Highway 60 and Limberlost).
Walker Lake has a 12 kilometer per hour speed limit. Therefore it is suitable for small water craft only. No personal watercrafts (SeaDoo's) are permitted.
Terra Nova is located 15 kilometers east of Huntsville, on Walker Lake, which is off Limberlost Road. Walker Lake is a small, spring fed, clear and very clean lake. The shoreline is dotted mainly with granite cliffs, white pines, and white birches.

Skiing: 15 minutes to downhill skiing.
