Appliances and furnishings: fully equipped kitchen including a microwave, coffee maker and a barbeque. A 14 ft aluminium boat with a 9.9 hp motor included. All linens are provided.
One double bed, one single bed, and a pull-out couch.
Tour beautiful Lake Scugog in a 14-ft aluminium Springbok boat with a 9.9-hp motor or launch your own boat with docking available. Excellent fishing for pickerel, bass and muskies. This quiet family setting has a private shallow entry sand beach with in an 8ft-sq. sand box set into the lake. You can walk along nature trails through 280 acres of wooded landscape.
The Boathouse is centrally located between Port Perry, Lindsay and Peterborough and one hour northeast of Toronto.
Picturesque Port Perry is 15 minutes West. You can shop on the popular Queen Street, with its Victorian character, where you will find an abundance of shops, boutiques and restaurants. All your shopping needs can be met in town, which includes 3 grocery stores, LCBO and Brewer Retail. At the bottom of Queen Street, you can walk through Palmer Park and find, a sand beach, a child's playground and a beautiful bandstand. Down the street is the fully equipped Port Perry Marina. Scugog Island offers dinning and gaming at the Great Blue Heron Casino.
Lindsay, the hub of Central Ontario, has an enclosed shopping mall plus the Academy Theatre. The Scugog River has a lock at Lindsay and continues down stream to Lake Sturgeon. Below the lock is a waterfront park where you may picnic.
At Peterborough, you will find an abundance of sites including the Lift Locks in which boats are raised and lowered in a huge tubs. There are also several tour boats that will take you along the river.
Wolf Run Golf Course is about 10 minutes east. Families love a days outing at the famous Bowmanville Zoo which is about 45 minutes south.
All you need to bring is your clothes, beach towels and food.
