Trout Water Family Campground is located near the town of Sunderland, Ontario. There are lots of amenities located on this campground. There are two swimming pools, one which is solar heated and the other one that is just very refreshing. There are flush toilets and showers available for your use. There are a couple of ponds, where you can go boating or fishing. Canoes, kayaks and pedal boats are available for rent.
For entertainment there is a Rec. Hall with dart boards, a pool table, and table tennis. Horseshoe pits are also located on the property. Other activities include pancake breakfasts on the Sunday of each long weekend, bingo for campers on each Saturday night, horseshoe competitions, pot luck suppers, dances, and karaoke just to name a few.
The campground offers 15 campsites ranging in size with water and hydro. Some of these sites are suitable for small trailers (up to 27'), tent trailers, hard top campers, but are also available for tenters. The sheltered camping area holds about 80 - 100 people for a picnic or 40 - 60 people for camping. Shaded, water and electricity sites (6 only) are separated from the pool and the rec. hall areas.
For people looking at going on a day trip there are lots of sights to take in. Sunderland, provides you with great grocery shopping, for sightseeing, Port Perry is great. There are a couple of beautiful golf courses around including Oliver's Nest and Cedarhurst Golf Club. For families, Canada's Wonderland is only one hour away, It is a great way to spend a day with the children. If you feel like spending some money and possibly winning some money, Casino Rama and the Blue Heron Casino are also only an hour drive away.
