Appliances and furnishings: full kitchen, microwave, television, DVD player, television, VCR, phone, stereo, satellite dish (bring own remote), washer/dryer, barbeque, firepit, linens, pillows, towels, and drinking water.
Located three hours north east of Toronto in the Canadian Shield, this four-season cottage is on "the scenic route" minutes from Bancroft. There is access to Baptiste, and other lakes are both a short walk or drive away. The area is known for its fishing and is part of a lake system including the south gate of Algonquin. The day spa next door is awesome.
One bedroom has a queen bed, two bedrooms have doubles, and one large bedroom has two singles (linens supplied) on two floors. There is a fully-equipped, spacious kitchen with lots of extras, a four-piece and three-piece bathroom, and a living room with television and DVD player. There is a television and VHS player upstairs, as well as an air-conditioner and laundry. The well water has been tested and sterilized by ultraviolet system. The tap water is great. There is a landscaped, sunken patio with a large barbeque, and firepit. The property features more than average privacy on an acre and a half of treed land. The fall colours are more than spectacular and winter activities are abound. Come and watch the deer feed through the bay windows while you stay cozy inside.
Outdoor patio surrounded by flower beds with patio furniture, barbeque, firepit and hammock next to a trickling creek and pond. Cottage is not on lakefront, but has a lovely view of the water and access within a walk. There is a private road between us and the water making this big on ambience and low on water traffic noise.
The whole area has so many attractions (water falls just down the road, great beach for kids on Diamond Lake Road a five-minute drive, amazing lakeview restaurant a walk away) that we have put together a binder of information for Bancroft attractions as well as nearby areas. Dogs and cats are also welcome, but should come with own beds and scratching posts. Outdoor smoking only please.
