Riley Lake cottage is beautifully furnished, with a spacious 1600 square feet of living space. It is located near the town of Washago just north or Orillia. The cottage has four bedrooms, one with a queen bed, two double beds, and two singles. There are also two pull out couches in the living room with the woodstove. There is one bathroom in the cottage with a tub. The living area has a nice view of the lake. There is a walk-out to a large balcony, with a barbeque ready to go where you can also enjoy the spectacular view.

Riley Lake is a beautiful lake which is not too big but not too small filled with many bays and blueberry-covered islands to explore. There is ample fishing with bass and even pike in these waters. You can fish right off the dock at the cottage, or head out in a boat to catch small and large mouth bass, pike, or pickerel. Don’t forget to keep your eyes and ears out for the beavers and the loons. If you go out at night in the canoe with a flashlight you can hear the beavers just across the bay slapping their tails and if your lucky you can catch a glimpse of them too!

The lot slopes to the lake where there is a fairly large dock for ease of access to the water. A canoe and a paddle boat are available for your use along with a swim raft. If you wish to bring your own boat, you can dock it at the dock located in front of the cottage. The boat launch is but 1500 yards away on Riley lake Rd. Please ask for directions.

Because of the wide variety of trees, shrubs and perennials, the property is visited by many types of birds, including herons, loons, hummingbirds, orioles and cardinals. The cottage is in a very private, quiet area. Riley Lake is a peaceful typical Muskoka lake fed by spring waters and running off into a river to the south not far from the property where a wonderful land of nature and discovery awaits you from the canoe. Place your canoe and paddle south to the river leading from Riley lake and you can paddle your way all the way down to Black River within a half hour. A variety store is also located in Washago about 15 minutes away by car where you can rent movies and do some grocery shopping. There is a drive in also nearby for those romantics who would like to reminisce the old fashioned way at a drive in.

In the winter time, Riley Lake Haven is also your perfect winter paradise. Bring your snowmobile and explore the best snowmobile trails in the area right at your doorstep. The road in is fully plowed yielding full access to the cottage all season. Other winter activities include snowmobiling, ice fishing, and skating (the snowmobile trail run is nearby.)
