Virginia Cedars Cottage is 45 minutes north of Toronto. There are five local golf courses, as well as restaurants, fishing, Red Barn Theatre, Georgina Pioneer Village, antique shops, cinema, drive-in, Sibbald Point Provincial Park, Georgina Island Craft Store, and Casino Rama (one-hour drive).
The waterfront is beautiful and sheltered from heavy waves in summer for fishing and water skiing. The Winter is great for ice fishing, ski-dooing, cross-country skiing and ice skating. Lake Simcoe offers fishing for Lake Trout, Pike, Walleye, Whitefish and Bass. In the winter, come for ice fishing and snowmobiling. Professional guide and fish hut rentals available.
Waterfront: Shallow and sandy with private 32-foot dock. 12-foot fishing boat with small motor at $50 per day or $300 per week (Pleasure Craft Operator Card required).
Availability: Year-round. No weekend bookings in Summer.
