Located on an ultra-quiet shoreline, 20 minutes from shopping, recreation and health facilities, this cottage paradise offers 200 feet of lakeshore for great swimming, boating, and waterskiing. Warm summer days, spent fishing on this quiet 2 x 4 km lake, will reward you with bass, trout, and pike. The well treed lot creates a very private vacation experience. The cottage is located about four hundred metres from the road and has a 400 foot strip of crown land on the deck side of the property. The side yards and back areas are flat for inventive play. JEVACO cottage is close to white water rafting, golfing, craft shops, and within an hour’s drive of Algonquin Park. There is a boat launch on the lake. Our little hideaway is about 2.5 hours from Ottawa and 3.5 hours from Toronto.
This cottage offers three different sitting areas. In the living area, there is a queen size futon, a fieldstone fireplace, and patio doors leading to a quiet sheltered balcony overlooking the lake. The separate dining area, with a Franklin fireplace, offers further sleeping with a pull out couch and stunning views of the lake through two walls of windows. On the front of the cottage, overlooking the lake, there is a glass enclosed sun porch for early morning coffee, conversation, reading, or late evening stargazing. The bathroom and main bedroom, with a queen size bed, have been recently renovated. The second bedroom sports twin bunk beds. There is a three sided, large wrap around deck overlooking the water and crown land. There is an outside fireplace and play area for children. Wood is provided for both the inside and outside fireplaces.
Waterfront: The swimming area is sandy bottomed with a few small pebbles. There is a shallow entry at the shoreline and it deepens to four feet at the end of the dock. Off the end of the dock there is diving into deeper water.
Availability: June 7 to Oct. 25.
Check-in: Saturdays at 2 p.m.
Check-out: Saturdays at 11 a.m.
