Canadian lake and woods as far as you can see, and nothing but peace and quiet: This 400-acre property is like your own kingdom in Muskoka’s wilderness, with tree-lined sparkling private lake. The 45- acre lake itself, fed by three streams, is totally owned by Kingdom cottage, so visitors can have complete run of the lake. From its wilderness position there are many wildlife sightings, including deer, moose, bears, and wild birds.
The new 4000 square foot two-level cottage is perched high in the landscape and gives a full overview of the expanse of Simms Lake. The shoreline in front of the cottage features a 20-foot dock, chairs, and a large fire pit nearby for firelit evenings under the stars.
The living area is spacious with large leather couches, television (with satellite), and a foozball game. Wifi is available. Next to that is a children’s play room with toys to entertain the little ones. The dining room area has dining table for six. The kitchen has all the cooking needs, including stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, microwave, , etc. and a place setting for 10. The flooring is marble.
Convenient laundry room with washer and dryer is located on the mail floor off of kitchen.
There are five bedrooms, three on the main floor and two on the lower level. The master bedroom features a queen / king bed, walk-in closet and ensuite four-piece bathroom. The other two bedrooms on the main floor have queen beds. There is also a three-piece bathroom shared by the two bedrooms, featuring a jacuzzi tub. The main floor also has a two-piece bathroom with easy access to the living area. On the lower level there are two bedrooms: The second master bedroom has a king bed. The other bedroom has a double bed. These bedrooms share a fourth three-piece bathroom with shower.
The spacious 40 X 12 ft. deck faces the lake, and there are dining and seating areas there. Because it is a natural preserve, no motor boats are allowed on the lake. But down at the shore there are canoe, kayak and two paddleboards. The water depth at the end of the dock is 3 – 4 feet.
