Completely renovated, it features a bright, comfortable, modern décor. The open-concept and vaulted ceiling lends a spacious feel to the living area while large windows allow plenty of light and lovely views of the lake. Situated on Loon Lake, the three-bedroom cottage is minutes from Gravenhurst.
The deluxe kitchen is very well-equipped, with an abundance of dishes, serving and baking ware and necessities for enjoyable dining and entertaining experiences. There is a coffee-maker, microwave, stove, and a dishwasher for easy clean-up. A plumbed-in water filter on the kitchen tap provides potable water for drinking and cooking. The BBQ has piped-in propane and there is even an extra BBQ/propane tank in the garage if needed.
When everyone gets hungry, there are options to enjoy those delicious cottage meals indoors or out. In the dining space between the kitchen and sitting area, there is a long table to seat six, as well as a buffet hutch. Or, opt for the outdoors and gather round the table for six on the deck to catch cooling breezes wafting off the lake and share dinner-time chatter about the day’s activities. Tastefully furnished in a “Simply Cottage” style, the sitting area boasts a comfortable sofa, four arm chairs to curl up in and beautiful views of Loon Lake. Should an evening turn chilly, there is a propane fireplace to provide warmth and ambiance. For entertainment, TV with Bell Satellite can be enjoyed and there is a VCR, DVD, CD, limited WIFI as well as a selection of games.
The master bedroom is off the sitting area. It has a queen bed with a restful view into the trees and a TV conveniently wall-mounted. The three-piece ensuite boasts a marble shower enclosure. Step out the bedroom sliding door to a nook of the wrap-around deck. Settle into a Muskoka chair to appreciate the lake view with a nightcap before retiring, or a mug of coffee in the morning.Bedrooms two and three are also accessed off the sitting area, each offering a cozy décor and double bed.
Ceiling fans in each main room of the cottage, as well as many windows and doors to open, provide generous air movement and helps the cottage stay cool. There are also small fans in each of the bedrooms.
At the cottage entryway off the kitchen, there is a four-piece bathroom plus a laundry/storage room. The stacked washer and dryer here offers much appreciated convenience at the cottage. Outdoors, there are numerous seating options where family members can gather, relax and enjoy each others company. A portion of the wrap-around deck is screened-in offering a bug-free setting. There is seating for up to six people here and a roll-out awning to provide welcome shade when desired. On the way to the 110’ frontage of lakefront there is a pebbled terrace with Muskoka chairs and a fire pit. There is also another fire pit by the waterfront. The dock features Muskoka chairs and lounges.
The dock has a ladder, gets sun all day and the water depth at the end of the dock is about three feet. A small sandy beach, walk-in entry to the water, soft, sandy bottom and no weeds, makes for a perfect spot for plenty of fun times in the lake for all.
Bring helmets and take a leisurely morning bike ride or enjoy a paddle in the canoe to explore Loon Lake. Restaurants, quaint shops, food, pharmacy and the LCBO are all nearby in Gravenhurst, and there are many attractions to enjoy in the surrounding area.
