Appliances and furnishings: stove, microwave, refrigerator, cutlery, pots and pans, dishes, linens, bedding, barbeque by front deck. Cottage is on second level with a great view of the lake. Large 10 x 16 deck. Lots of comfortable furniture in large living / family room. Private, large lot with parking for 5-6 vehicles.
Bikes available, paddleboats and walking trails are all available in summer months, ice huts (for rent) available in winter months. Docking space for boats. Winter access for skidoos, 3&4 wheelers. There is a year round Island Crafts store in the yard in case of shopping withdrawal!
Georgina Island "Heron's Landing " Cottage is situated on Lake Simcoe. The car ferry runs from Virginia Beach Marina which is about a 45-minute drive from Toronto! Very private island cottage for the discriminating guest and a fun and unique vacation experience. On the mainland, five local golf courses, restaurants, fishing, Red Barn Theatre, "Canada's Oldest Summer Theater", Georgina Pioneer Village, antique shops, cinema, a drive-in, Sibbald Point Provincial Park, Shawana Lodge. Forty minutes to Casino Rama, one hour to Canada's Wonderland. On the Island, the Georgina Island Craft Store, Georgina Camp Grounds, & Island Convenience Store, horseback riding and extensive hiking nature trails are parallel to none!
Waterfront is beautiful and sheltered from heavy waves in summer for fishing and water skiing. Other winter and summer properties available: great for ice fishing, ski-dooing, cross-country skiing and ice skating. Fish hut rentals and guides available. Lake Simcoe is known worldwide for its abundant summer and winter fishing and boating, waterskiing and other water sports. Email for additional information.
